What you will learn

module

Module 1 - Analytics Bootcamp

Quickly familiarize yourself with Python, SQL, and statistics - the foundational skills you’ll need to dive into our analytics content!

Courses

  • Foundations of Analytics
  • Introduction to Business
module

Module 2 - Business & Analytics Strategy

Learn about innovation, design thinking, technology management, and AI project management. These courses will set you up to lead teams, data scientists, and your organization through its transformation.

Courses

  • Analytical Decision Making
Unlike directive decision-makers, an analytic decision-maker seeks information and advice from industry experts to challenge or confirm their knowledge and opinions. Such decision-makers have a high tolerance for ambiguity (there may be conflicting advice) and are very adaptable (because there may be more than one “right” answer)because the cause-and-effect relationship is not immediately apparent. A good analytic decision-making leader avoids analysis paralysis and reaches a decision, enabling the team to act and test the agreed hypothesis.
  • Project Management for Analytics & AI
Traditional project management operates according to the five steps of: define, design, develop, test and deploy, relying on a structured system of high-quality record data. AI projects do not benefit from this same stability as the data is constantly changing and there is no definitive end point. Project Managers therefore need to be able to accept uncertainty and the constant need to re-calibrate. This course will cover agile development approaches, CRISP-DM, and provide the necessary skills to lead a successful AI project.
  • Strategy & Change Management
Strategy can be defined as a general direction set for the company and its various components to achieve a desired state in the future. A change management strategy is a plan for how an organization will modify its existing business operations by changing elements in the organization ́s value chain, recommeding changes, how to approve those changes, how to implement them and how to monitor the changes to ensure they bring about the desired effect.
  • Data & Information Security
Data and Information Security (sometimes referred to as InfoSec) covers the tools and processes that organizations use to protect information from unauthorized activities, including inspection, modification, recording and any disruption or destruction. The basic tenets are: confidentiality (preventing unauthorized disclosure of information), integrity (protection against any unauthorized changes such as additions, deletions and alterations) and availability (on demand when they are needed for an organizational process or customers).
  • Data & AI Ethics
According to John McCarthy, creator of the AI concept, “AI is the science andengineering of making intelligent machines”. It is the ability of a computer or machine to mimic human behaviour and perform human like tasks. Good examples are an industrial robot that can monitor its own accuracy and sense when maintenance is required or Personal Assistants such as Home by Google, Siri by Apple, Alexa by Amazon and Cortana by Microsoft. However, the collection and analysis technology of big data hascreated far-reaching ethical issues at both social and individual levels.
module

Module 3 - Foundational Analytics

You will learn how to build predictive models, use machine learning, and manage complex, big data. These courses introduce core analytical techniques and models.

Courses

  • Acquisition & Analysis of Data
The collection and analysis technology of Big Data carries with it great risk. The subject participation governance model has been greatly reviewed over the last few years and social risk governance much under the spotlight. This course will introduce you to the data wrangling process: from the first step of acquisition through to using that data safely in analysis.
  • Tools of Analytics
Tools used by business analysts capture quantitative and qualitative data from different business systems, incorporating them into a repository, enabling smarter decision making. Most companies deploy a mix of business analytics software, including statistical, predictivemodelling and data mining tools leading to improvements in efficiency, productivity and profitability. The popularity and demand for premium quality business analytics tools are at an all-time high because of the rich functionalities they deliver in terms of business success and growth. In this intervention we will compare the most popular such as QlikView, Splunk and Sisense.
  • AI & ML
AI solves tasks that require human intelligence while ML (Machine Learning) is a subset of artificial intelligence that solves specific tasks by learning from data and making predictions. Therefore all Machine Learning is AI, but not all AI is machine learning. In this course, you will study machine learning models: their applications, how to evaluate their accuracy, and how to select models.
  • ML Ops & Data Management
Every great AI project requires great ML Ops. Coined after DevOps in software development, ML Ops is all about taking your machine learning models to production. This course will cover the ML Ops pipeline, from data ingestions and transformation to serving up model results into your existing infrastructure.
  • Natural Language Processing
Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a subfield of linguistics, computer science and artificial intelligence. It addresses the interaction between computers and human language. The goal is a computer capable of “understanding” the content of documents, including the contextual nuances of the language within them. NLP techniques will allow you to better understand your customers, automate chatbots, translation, and more.
  • Web3 & DLT
Web 3.0 is the third generation of the internet where websites and apps process information in a smart human-like way through technologies such as Machine Learning (ML), decentralised ledger technology (DLT) and Web 3.0. As Web 3.0 operates through decentralized protocols – the founding blocks of blockchain and cryptocurrency technology, a strong convergence and symbiotic relationship is expected.
module

Module 4 - Capstone Project

Work on a real analytics problem throughout the program. You’ll be working on real data, real problems, and have technical advisors to support you along the way.

Courses

  • Design Thinking Workshop
Design Thinking is centred around the understanding of unmet customer orconsumer needs. It has six elements: framing the question in a way that inspires others to “think outside the box”; digging deep into what people really need practically and emotionally; generating ideas to develop breakthrough solutions; creating prototypes to test the ideas; gathering feedback from potential customers and crafting stories to inspire others to action. When applied correctly, design thinking helps to understand customer mindset and needs and creates innovative solutions that, when tested, provide learning for further design thinking. This course will be instrumental in identifying Capstone opportunities in your organizations.
  • Project Plan
In this part of the programm, participants will be asked to define the scope of a project that they would like to pursue. They will work with Capstone advisors to build and refine plans that will guide them through the rest of their Capstone project.
  • MVP1 - Proof Of Concept
  • MVP2 - Business Evaluation
  • Final Project Presentation
